15 or 16 inch rims

out of curiosity has anyone installed smaller wheels with taller tires on their fr-s/86/brz, and what were the results? thanks

16's come standard in some countries. And, from memory, I know there's a member that put 16x8 Enkei Compe's on, and a member from Korea that had 16in SSR comps, with I think a 50 or 55 profile tire. Shouldn't be hard to find w/ a search.

16 inch wheel

Had 4 16" steelies on this past winter (with Dunlap M3 3D Snow Performance Tires) 205/55/16. They just fit over the brake caliper.... so I would think that 15's are out of the question.

This FRS has 16" rims and I plan on getting them also.

Bumping this thread to see who else has 16 inch wheels and how they like them...

Do a search, there's multiple 16" wheel threads already.

Some 15" wheels should fit as well. I would think most rally-style 15s will fit as they are built to clear WRX 4pot/2pot brakes.

Anyone got a pic of the TWS T66-F's in 16in on this car?
I'm kinda in the market for another set of wheels..

Yeah, I went with a 225/50/16. It is 24.9" and the USDM came with 17" wheels 215/45/17. I think the stock tire is 24.7" tall. I lost a total of 20lbs. I also upgraded to a Max performance summer tire a Continental Extreme Contact DW. I Think my stock tire was a Michelin Grand touring summer. So with the smaller and lighter wheel it definitely handles and brakes better. Also, to my surprise the car was more comfortable to drive on too.

Most people run 17's. There are some that do run the 16's but not too many. It depends on your style and what kind of driving you do...

Are there any pictures of 15"/16" on eibach sportlines?
