Perrin Catback and CAI installation time?

I just got my Perrin Catback exhaust, and cold air intake. I'm just wondering what the average install time would be taking this to a shop to get installed. I know times will vary but I'm just looking for a general time frame, to see if I should just get the exhaust done first then the CAI. I know the CAI you have to remove the front bumper not sure if that adds a lot of time or not. Thanks for any advice

We installed our CAI in under 2 hours. Taking off the bumper and putting it back may seem hard but its just a few clips :)

Oh ok so 2 hours for CAI, just curious how long for the Perrin exhaust. The front and over pipe are not included, ill be adding that later on down the road. Just the cat back exhaust and the 2 other parts that come with it.

Do you need a tune for any of those? CAI or exhaust.. Tuning sounds expensive :(

No tune necessary for the CAI. It runs well on a stock tune but you will get more out of it with a tune.

A friend and I installed the Perrin Catback in about 2 hours with jack stands (doing it extremely carefully). I feel like we could probably repeat the job in 1:15-1:30 easily.

You dont need a tune to run an exhaust, but a tune will maximize the exhausts effect.

+1 a tune will maximize both exhaust and intake tune

Ill be getting a tune later, I have a Revworks Header being made, once I get that and get it installed ill prob get a tune then, might get a few more parts first not sure yet but a tune eventually.

So basically If I take the car to a shop I'm prob looking at 4-5 hours for installation time on exhaust and CAI

3-4 seems about right. The exhaust is easy, the intake may require removal of the front bumper. I would say 1 hour for exhaust, 2 (possibly 3) for intake

Ok perfect thank you for all your help :)

Where do you put the drop in filter, does the front bumper have to come off for that also? Easy instal?

TAP Auto Parts 05-31-2013 11:37 PM

Drop in air filter should take just a few mins to put in.
