Help!!! Ecutek reflash interupted

I was updating my perrin tune and it got interupted mid flash by my laptop in spite of my efforts to prevent it.

I tried up start the process over but now it says I have no license.

I know there is a fix for this but I can't find it with a quick search. Any help is appreciated (I have reached out to Perrin as well but haven't heard back).

Many thanks.

I would contact the provider, if it presents as simply a licensing issue they may have a work around.

Just call Perrin, they will update you with a new license, and get the log file from you, no problems

Does it log automatically? I didn't log while updating.

This happened to me. Dynotronics1 is correct. Just call the tuner (Perrin) and they'll provide you with a new license. My tuner (FA20Club) requested the logfile from me, which is in the directory where you installed the ECUTek software. It logs stuff there automatically.

Edit: My logfile they needed, was named ProECU-SubaruBRZ.log

TemeCal is correct. Find the .log file which always records what shows in the text window during reflashes. It will show that the flash failed, and your tuner (Perrin) will have to request a new license for your EcuTek key and will provide that log as proof that your license was used up. I have had to go through this process way too many times.

What happened on the laptop to cause the reflash to fail?

Battery warning indicator, the laptop was plugged in but the cord was lose. It's an old laptop.....glad this can be fixed hopefully quickly, want to go to cars and coffee tomorrow with the club.
