Dashboard Cleaner

Hi all, I picked up something that seems to have a nice effect on the textured matte dash. It's called Sonax Matte Dashboard Cleaner. It works really nicely and doesn't leave a shiny film after you've used it.

That material is a dust magnet. I put a cover on mine.

I may have to try that, but what kind of cloth do you use with it? Autogeek suggests a microfiber. Problem is, I bought a microfiber marketed for cleaning/dusting a dash and the thing clings to the dash material so well I can't move/wipe it. It's like the dash is made out of this super grip rubber or something. lol

My guess would be to use the same type of towel used to clean plasti dip. I have not tried it personally, but maybe someone that has one could give it shot and chime in.

My corolla has the same dash material. Yeah it'll pull fuzzies right out of Micro fibers. I use the tight weave low pile glass towels. But I use 303 Aerospace protectant, Slightly shiny but that stuff is the sh*t! I give it 20-30 mins then buff it off... leaves a little shine. And it's anti-static. Best stuff in the world for door seals.

pretty sure detailers domain carries it

similar product which is easy to find is meguiars quik interior detailer

If you're looking for a little more shine, get the 303 aerospace protectant as mentioned above

For the guys having trouble with their microfiber towels, get better towels. The BJ's / Big Lots towels are crap. I use them for wheels. The all purpose MF towels sold in ten packs at detailers domain are WAY better and never give me any issue with interior work.

I got it at JRP Performance in Mississauga. If you're a forum member they will give you 10% off.

I just use Swiffer towels. It pretty much gets all the dust.
