Coolant level when cold

Hello forum go-ers,

I just got a quick question. I got my car about 5 days ago, since then I drove about 700km (about 400miles) I have been keeping my eyes on the coolant level because I had a suspicion that the coolant might be disappearing at an abnormal rate. The car has been parked for about 12 hours over night, and the fluid level is at 'Low' in the reservoir tank. Is this normal?

I think when the car is 'hot' the level was right in between Full and Low, this was when the car had less than 100km on the odo. Unfortunately, I didnt take a note of the coolant level when the car was cold and had little mileage.

I am about to go on a 17 hour journey to a remote area so I don't want to take any chances.

:thanks:

Yes.

Mine has 9.3k miles on it and I've only ever seen it at "low" when cold. Haven't paid attention while it was hot. I believe there's a section in the manual that addresses this as well, read it.

Mine is at about the half way point between full and low when cold. 5k miles on mine.

Mine sits just above low when cold.
