how many dads here are in the market for a FR-S?

i have a 6 month old daughter, we have other cars in the household to shuttle her around. but am i too selfish to get a 2+2 coupe?

if you can afford it then I say no. If you're making car payments instead of contributing to the college fund then maybe yes.

1.5 and 4 year old. We have a new Santa Fe for the trips and groceries but for dropping the kids off at daycare before work or going to friends I want a fun car. Also has to be usable if the main hauler is in the shop. So 2 seaters are not on the table, ever.

So used 911, GC, Mustang, FR-S/BRZ are the only options for me - not a fan of BMWs.

My father is thinking about getting one, but back when I was really young ( Im in my mid 20's now)he drove around a Levin Ae86 lol I don't know if that counts.

I have 3 kids, ages 18 (in college), 15 & 3. We have a Ford Flex that's the family hauler so I'm fine with the FR-S as my daily driver.

I grew up with a dad who had 2 door cars as our family's only mode of transportation... a VW Beetle (engine caught fire and I was the backseat smoke detector), then a '69 Mustang which got traded for an '84 Firebird. Sell your other car(s) to start her college fund. Might as well make use of the 2 rear seats you're paying for which happen to be perfectly sized for little people.

Have a 5 month old son. We have a Impreza hatch for family trips. I want a fun car for DD and picking up our kid/grocery duties when needed. As others have said a 2 seater at this point is impractical and not possible for me. BRZ fits the bill. He'll love riding in the BRZ. I already know it.

I'm really interested to see if those back seats will be usable even for a 4 yr old. All the pics I've seen show only enough room for someone with 2" thick legs to fit in back.

Average size Asian men fit in the back.

I'm 5'7" with a 30 inseam and I like riding closer to the pedals. Should be ok. Mk4 Jetta has room even in rear facing. But you're right - no final deal till I see it for myself.

If you can afford it, go for it! Plus maybe it can be her first car years from now, what an awesome first car it would be!!

I have a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. We have a 09 Tacoma Dbl cab and we had an 05 Honda Odyssey until last friday. My wife was in an accident and it was totaled. So now I will be looking for a new family hauler along with waiting still for an Frs/Brz. I am hoping they will fit fine in the back of it.
