TC and VSC mode setting
Hey guys, I am wondering how you guys set up the TC and VSC modes when you want to have fun with ur FRS
1. TC VSC all off 2. only TC off 3. Only VSC off whats your combination :D |
Turn key to off = most fun
|
VSC Sport mode all the way. Allows some slip, but, still a safety net just in case my confidence outweighs my ability. Pretty sure VSC Sport = traction control off, stability control to moderate.
|
I generally put it in vsc sport mode. I wish it would let the car wiggle around just a little more before it cuts in though...
|
VSC Sport mode here too. I go full off when I'm at an empty parking lot, but that doesn't happen every day. Don't want to risk my car on curvy road with everything off.
|
I rest my hand around the bottom of the shifter while driving and end up hitting the VSC sport mode a lot with my wrist, most of the time that's what I'm in.
|
Turn off everything, learn how to car moves and handles.
Better driving experience in traffic and high speeds since I now know my car's limitations. |
VSC sport mode is always turned on for me. With all the nannies on, traction control seems to kick on quite a bit. Keep in mine I'm not even talking about aggressive driving here, but If I have to make a aggressive turn getting into traffic the last thing I want is the car stopping itself when traffic is coming right at me. I don't feel the need to turn it all off, even when driving just for fun.

All off all the time, dont matter rain, snow or beautiful out, even sport cuts in way too early for me... Just make sure your tires are fit for the conditions
|
If any of the "nanny" modes make it feel like you're going to crash if you have them on, maybe you should relearn how to drive.
The modes are not make or break on this car, and I can't see how they can be to begin with. If you're breaking traction "quite a bit" with them on, you honestly are pushing the car past what is needed on the street. Even on stock tires with nannies on, the car can be driven plenty hard without breaking traction. |

Obviously, you missed my point.
I have fun in my FR-S just as anyone else does, but you really have to try and break traction with this car (try =! not easy). |
