To draw more air into the engine compartment?

tuckdaddy 05-26-2013 05:58 PM

Why?

Biggdogg 05-26-2013 06:20 PM

Looks like the car was in an accident and the hood no longer fits properly. Not my cup of tea.

wootwoot 05-26-2013 06:21 PM

Because race-car.

tuckdaddy 05-26-2013 06:22 PM

That looks like someone doesn't know how to mount a hood.

All signs point to yes. As in yes you are the only one thinking about hood spacers.

I think certain Evo's had extremely poor under-hood heat management. Not so with the FR-S

Le86 05-26-2013 08:29 PM

I used to own an s13 and thought this was just a 240 thing. Never did it myself because I didn't see the point. I think it's acceptable if you're running high horsepower numbers and generating a ton of heat. Otherwise, it just looks silly and makes the car look broken.

it probably be ideal for those running boost in the track.

Silverdub 05-26-2013 09:31 PM
