Finally, a real application test. It fits but that's a tough squeeze.

I am liking that silver more and more. Also, probably how I will roll constantly - rear seats down. Thanks!
|
Well then, this will be useful for me. That trunk is big enough to can stick my bike in it ... Hiyooo!!! I wont have to wait on a bike rack to go on my many Northface type adventures with my mt. bike.
|
Why did there have to be proof? People thought Toyota would lie about this?
|
I still haven't seen a good photo of what it looks like with PEOPLE back there. My usual cargo.
|
Hum.. looks like you can't swap trunks, there is a VIN tag on it:

Just like my dc2 tons of space back there with the seats down.....i know my seats will be down 99% of the time now....haha
|
Do you guys think the rear seats will be easily removable? I want those suckers gone.
|
if a person wanted to sleep in the trunk (with the seats down) what is the maximum diagonal length?

doing it the first time is a pain in the ass, because they were not meant for easy removal, but after awhile you understand the motions needed to take them out, and it becomes routine. |

I'm heading to Atlanta to check out that silver BRZ. |

I still wonder why they mounted the 3rd brakelight like that. Couldn't they have tucked it in more or have a solid unit instead of the pegs showing!? :iono: |

id rather have room for passengers in the back not some tires i probably wont use for a very long time.
|
these pictures blow my mind....if i tried to put tires stacked like that on my s14 or rx7 it wouldn't work.

I appreciate the real world demonstration.
|
I wonder if the seats are all the way or not. I doubt it.
...trying to judge the seating position from the pics. |
I'd love to see a video of them getting the wheels in there. That can't be easy.
|
would be a lot easier with a hatch in the back but hey, whatevs.:iono:
|
sweet pictures. What are those strap looking things on the front seats? For pulling them forward/pushing them back?

yea where is it? i wanna see one in person, this waiting on a forum is driving me nuts.

A hatch would make the car heavier. That's why it is a coupe according to Toyota\Subaru... |

I also wonder about those push retainers too. Maybe Toyota designed it so you can easily remove that entire panel. That would be great if that's the case and will make weekend track events that much easier. |

I like these pics but I can't help and wonder what the biggest set of wheels+tires that can fit in there. I'm not going to transport stock wheels+tires...

i was thinking that too. I'll probably end up with 18x8.5's all around, id' imagine you're blocking a third of the window storing that kind of size. although the car gets narrower on the inside vertically past the beltline. So maybe the 4th wheel ends up in the trunk? if you wanna be crazy have a super wide look and run some 10 inchers with some "poke" you'd better look into roof racks or some utility trailers..lol BTW, anyone actually click on the MT link? it's sorta cool to see the fr-s next to a gt-r just for sizing reference. I almost think the fr-s looks nicer btw hah |
