KW v3 or MCA red?
 

Hi guys,

It's coming up to that point in time where I am nearing enough funds to buy a set of quality coils and two choices have come to mind:

1. KW v3
2. MCA Red

What are your thoughts on both products? I know that the KWs do not come with top hats, are slightly more dear than the MCAs and are made offshore.. but other than that, I have no idea what to expect in terms of differences.

I have MCA Reds fitted. Am I happy with them? Yes. Are they better/worse than the KWs? No idea and best of luck getting an objective side by side comparison. But here's the thing. You can ring either of the Cootes and talk about suspension in general and about their products. If you need/want to have them re-sprung you can with advice along the the way. It was the "made locally" factor that decided it for me.

I am suggesting that in performance terms there would be bugger all between them.

MCA Red

Another vote for MCA.

I'm running KW v3 and im happy with it.

However it's easier to get support from MCA.

I guess that settles it then :)

There is a group buy for the MCA Red. $2550.

I was tossing up between the two and even though the kw v3 are well known, I wanted to support local and also well respected. You can find the group buy in the gt86 forum.

Wish I had the cash to put a set of reds on at the moment..

I paid retail plus post so would be a bit pissed at the lower price. Fitted mine today !!!
