well, that depends on the kind of insurance you have and what your deductible is.

supramkivtt2jz 05-24-2013 01:40 PM

im going to assume not. Its not a safety concern, so youll have to pay your deductable.

I doubt insurance will cover that. Cars get nicked up, you're gunna have to deal with it. Get some touch up paint and call it a day.

You really don't want to make a claim on something trivial like that. It ends up on the the vehicles history for the life of the car as well as a claim on your insurance. Insurance people don't like it when you make claims and tend to raise your rates if you do so.

ProTip: Even calling them to ask if it is covered can result in a note on your account or in some cases, even be considered a claim depending on your company and the method you chose to contact with (such as calling the 1-800 number on your insurance card).

Most importantly, as others have said, it will cost you at least your deductible. $500 for something like that, isn't worth it.

Just a heads up - the Pearl touch-up paint is pretty terrible. I bought some for a couple of rock chips and the stuff comes out like skim milk. I finally had to use regular white touch up paint as a base-coat and then dab a bit of the pearl on it to match the tone.

I think it's a total loss. Better contact your agent.

I got one free from dealer, just ask the person who sold you the car.
