Hello Guys and Girls,

I decided to make this build/history thread because I plan to own the car for a while and being summer I finally have a break long enough to start working on personal touches.

A little bit about me. I'm ex-military that decided to move out to Vegas when I separated. I'm currently a driving instructor at Exotics Racing which is a place where you can throw down your CC and drive anything ranging from a Cayman R to an Aventador. I currently go to school for Finance, to which I have one year left(finally).

I've been driving competitively ever since I joined the military and could afford to do so. I was chosen to be in this years Octane Academy which is presented by Ford so I plan on really using the show to finally get a career started. I intend to use and have already for track days and local AutoX. I might decide to spend the money to outfit the car in fully STX parts and shoot for Nationals but we'll see. If I do well on the show I might have to switch over to Ford products which I would be delighted to do.

I'll try and fallow chronologically what I have done to the car but I have owned it for almost a year now and things gets lost or mixed up. Enjoi

April:13 I co-drove my roommates FR-S which also sports feal suspension, RPF1 17x8, with at the time brand new BFG Rivals. I will say I enjoy the Rivals autoxing but I think I'm still a big RS3 fan when it comes to track driving.

Curious about Fat Mat application, do u get noticeable noise reduction??

A very noticeable difference was from the door panels. It makes the stock sound system sound higher quality then it is. I drive my friend's FR-S from time to time and his door panels vibrate and it sounds like crap in comparison. The fat mat in the rear did lower the noise a little. I did not install the mat on the tranny tunnel or floor in front of the front seats so it cancels the sound damping since human ears face forward. I would spend the money again in a heart beat for the sound I get out of the door speakers now.
