Why do all fourm mods suck (except these ones)

On pretty much every fourm Ive been on except this one and a couple others, the mods seemed to be on some sort of power trip. Theye'd always ban ppl for small little things and gnerally act PMSey. On here, the mods actually try to contribute to a good discussion.

because mods are people too

I've only seen one ban here, and it seemed like it was for a legit reason so no complaints from me. I will however always be an advocate of openness and transparency with regards to moderating when at all possible. Hopefully they keep up the good work as the forum grows once the car is actually released.

Wings has bad BO though...

On majority of the forums that I'm on, only the db's get the boot... and that's after several warnings. This forum is still young and I'm certain that when this car has been out on the market, it's going to get a lot more chaotic.

Because the mods here weren't mods for long... it's only a matter of time!

That and they're some of the most contributing members of this site...

Cuz if I ban someone, my boss will ban me. LOL

Put the joke on the side, banning I let Hachi decide. I try to clean up the spams & reposts. I try not to power trip, but sometimes my EGO gets in my way lmao

Dude, it sounds like you have had only bad experiences with forums. They are not all like that.

I believe the problem lies with the superiors. "If the soldier misbehaves, it is the responsibility of their officer. If the officer misbehaves, it is the responsibility of their commander."

If the mod power trips, it is the admin's fault.

This is true though. On another forum, i posted a sale ad for a buddys car and it got deleted cause thats not allowed. Less than a month later, one of the mods did the same thing. So i posted satying that post is against the rules....i got banned from the forum for like 3 days or something stupid.

ZetaVI 02-14-2012 05:06 PM

I was a Mod on a forum before and never banned anybody. All I did was took out the spam and reposts. The Admin is usually the one who decides and makes rules. Most forums make clear and aware that there are specific rules. In the end, Admin is the one who decides what they will do.

only been a mod on a couple sites lol only one some may know will be gamewinners back in hs when I was really big in rpgs and such

I never perm ban anyone but did do a bunch of 1 weeks when you get a noob who post everywhere and pisses you off cause he never reads any of the threads he made where you tell them to search so a 1 week ban makes sense its his research time I like to think
