LSD?

Our cars come with a Torsen LSD, right? So technically, shouldn't my car not be doing this?

Is this because I turned off traction control?

I believed the way the torsen works if one tire completely loses traction like that it acts as a open diff.

"If one wheel were raised in the air, the regular Torsen units would act like an open differential, and no torque would be transferred to the other wheel. "

Pull your e-brake, you'll gain traction.

Best car I've driven, except maybe my WRX lol.

The brake trick is something I read on 4x4 forums - they are usually the ones stuck with a wheel in the air.

Yep, that's going to be normal, even clutch types will do this somewhat, depending on how strong they are. If you get an aftermarket clutch type, it can pretty much have no traction on one tire, and power the other. But that doesn't make it any better in the snow.

I came from an STi to this, so I'm not used to this! hahaha.

My KAAZ when I broke driveshafts would also free spool. Even clutch type needs some resistance for wedges to work. Our torsens are torque multiplying, 4 times I think? Four times 0 is still 0.

For a RWD car, this is pretty good in the snow. Just get a good set of winter tires, not all-seasons.

Nah, its about average. What makes it "good" IMO for snow is the weight distribution, and the fact it has no power so the accidental slippage of throttle won't do much.
