Transporting e85 safely

I'm wondering, is it at all possible to safely transport e85 in my car?

I've been looking at military grade fuel transport containers, and thinking about putting them either in trunk or in back seat with the windows cracked. I think with a high quality container + ventilation the danger of the fumes should be diminished. But then my main concern is in the event of a collision...

Is anybody else here transporting e85 to the track? The closest track to me is a little over 150 miles away from e85. Its very annoying because there's e85 all around here, and then to get to Willow Springs, I have to go into the desert where there's nothing for miles...

I've toyed with the idea of possibly using an external (small) trailer to transport it, or a truck, but neither of those are ideal. I'm also wondering if its possible to install an extra large (or possibly second) fuel tank, but I'm not sure if that's even possible on a car as small as this..

First world problems, I guess.

Maybe you can get a group of track junkies together to contact the closest few gas stations to Willow Springs and make them aware of the E85 demand and see if they'll consider selling it there.

Good idea!

Let's start a petition! I know @robispec goes to WSIR, and plenty of others in the ft86 cup.

Nice! Where'd you get that container?

I found the website for Sunoco Race Fuels, and unfortunately it seems to use the same map as e85prices.com - no corn juice near Rosamond, CA.

its the sunoco e85 container. Canned fuel just like race fuel.
