I bought them almost exactly a year ago.

Haha, ya I'm glad too. It's the little things that bring the smile. I was supposed to take pics of between the door jamb but forgot. If someone can remind tomorrow, that would be great.

I think it would be easier to tap the ignition switch light ring instead of the dome light! :)

Possibly, but the dome was incredibly easy as well.

How do you take the cover of the door light off?

You have to take the door panel off.

two screws inside the handle
plastic clip to the front
pull straight out starting from one side > bottom > other side, then lift the panel

You dont need to go through the door and tap into the dome light.
just tap into the wires in the door

found a new source for the OEM connector to the Toyota (Camry) or BRZ Limited door courtesy lamps. They are $5.40 a pair in quantity of two (one pair):
