Just received the tax estimates from the hong kong customs. for the "86" that are parallel imported from Japan, the price after tax will be close to half a million HKD. Which is a bit too pushing it! Thats more than a Golf R or even the STi sedan's price in Hk!

Hopefully the dealers will release pricing soon, as they promised to be around mid 300k only

Well, I already had deposit at the dealers also. Just hope the pricing isn't outrageous.

Brand new JDM imported cars in Hk is quite a rare sight these days. Yen is exchanging at a way too high rate!

Isn't there any Toyota distributor? They should price it accordingly.

yea, crown motors is the official toyota dealer network in hong kong. but these are so call "official goods" they will bring in probably one trim level, and its usually the highest end. at least they already announce that they will bring in the 86!

So I'm guessing either GT or GT Limited will be offered in HK.

Half a million for a 86 is indeed a bit too much.
Fingers crossed that "Crown" will have a more reasonable price.

This is the reason why I don't think I can ever moved back to HK.
