WTB: Blown Front OEM Shocks (SC)

I'm looking for a set of front struts/shocks from the BRZ/FR-S as donors for a Koni install. I would prefer a set that is blown since they will be just cut apart and gutted.

This would be perfect for someone who was doing a spring install and accidentally twisted the strut pistons when removing the top nut and caused damage to the seals and valving.

I'll also consider a pair of non-blown front shocks if the price is right.

PM me if you have a pair available.

I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC, so I'd prefer someone fairly local to either pickup or reduce the amount of shipping.

Thanks

You must have bought the the Koni inserts. I'm about to post an identical WTB ;)

I haven't bought them yet... I actually wanted to have my hands on some donors first so that I can properly prep them ahead of time.

I can use the set that is currently on my car, but that would affect my timing of things and it would be much easier to have a set of front struts that I can prepare and powdercoat Koni Yellow to have a good looking final product.

I did a set of Koni inserts into my WRX wagon a few years back and it was the best mod that I've done suspension-wise... With N1 top hats, OEM camber bolts, and a set of Prodrive springs, the resulting suspension was comfortable and performed better than 85% of the coil-over systems out there. Coil-overs have their place, but for a daily driver they are way too much of a compromise on comfort and handling in less than smooth surfaces.

I have a set of RCE Yellow springs and OEM camber bolts waiting on this install, and based on my research so far, the result is going to be just as good as my wagon, in a chassis that didn't have the same inherent handling flaws as the GD Impreza chassis did. I'm looking forward to playing with the results.

Anyone who's looking to sell the suspension as an entire package, I'd be interested but the price would have to be right.
