Plasti-Dip Stripes

I'm looking forward to dipping my car. Was wondering it there are any tricks and tips before I get started.

I plan to just add a matte black stripe on the body line that starts at the fender vent towards the back window. Also I plan to do the bottom of the front bumper (matte black as well) and the rear emblem plate. This will be on an Asphalt FRS let me know what you think?

(Good Idea or Terrible mistake)

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I think a vinyl stripe would come out wayyyyy better.

Since its on an asphault FRS then I think it will look okay, but it depends how bold or subtle you want your design to be.

I've seen this car in person and you have to be pretty close to tell it's vinyl & not paint.

Link to my post there about the racing stripe I did for Toyotafest, peeled it off but I plan to redo it. Make sure you put a good 4-5 coats on and the biggest thing with plasti-dip is you HAVE to peel the tape off while the dip is still wet. I personally get my dip down then soak the edges one more time and get the tape off asap. If you let the dip dry to the tape and peel it it will rip your whole stripe off. If you have any Qs about plasti-dipping PM me
