The new BMW hotness

Here it is, the new BMW 2 series coupe sans camo. This is the 1 series replacement coming to NA later this year....much better proportions with real presence. And they fixed the goofy headlights. Added to my shortlist... 228i with Sport Package.

Already I like how this looks way better than the 1 series.

Looks better than the old potbelly 1-series (other than the 1M coupe), but now I have a hard time telling that apart from a 3-series.

Let me guess - you keep a couple of mini-pigs as pets? Or have a more general fondness for all things porcine?

Actually I rather like the 1 series, there is one parked a few feet from me at home - a striking blue 'vert. My biggest beef with it is that it's too tall for its size. Take 4 or 5 inches off its slabbed sides and it would be something special.

I like it. Quite a bit, actually.

Looks like they took a 3 series and made it smaller, not really digging it.

They essentially raided a parts bin and created that car...

give me this and I'm content:

my current flatmate has a 135 'vert...it's not bad. I really like the coupe better though.

That curve at the bottom of the door STILL looks like crap.

Allch Chcar 05-17-2013 10:34 PM

Meh.

Yeah, I like the 1 series hatch. Have you seen the specs on the new 125i? They put the new 2.0L turbo engine in it. About 3000lb curb weight so it isn't really light. It's smaller and lighter than a Focus ST/Mazdaspeed3/WRX and yet it's RWD. Not exactly spacious in the back though.

Select the 125i from the drop down menu.

The curb weights all include 200lbs for passenger and one piece of luggage. Silly UK.
