Over pipe strong burning smell

I just got finished installing the ft club over pipe and holy shit this thing smells like the car is burning to the ground its pretty awful, i drove for about 10 miles came back to the house pop the hood and you can see how hot that pipe got, nothing got stuck like plastic or papers, is this normal? the smell is pretty damn bad

Q300 with catless pipe.

The Q300 was smelling pretty bad too for 50 miles and went away, but not as bad as this pipe

There is always a slight burning smell from new exhaust as everything burn off of the metal, but it shouldn't be too bad.

It's just burning off oils left on the pipes from manufacturing. If it still smells, you're not driving it enough. =P

^That and stuff you got over it when you were handling it, i.e. dirt, oil, anti-seize, penetrating oil.

The catless pipe is what's doing it for you.

Check the plate above the over pipe for leaking oil if you have a manual trans.
Will be at bottom of plate per picture.
