why you gotta discriminate against people with only one arm or leg?

Besides, automatics these days are getting better and better. Manual in this day and age really is for the die-hards.

Oye mate,
People with no legs can drive manuals too.

The one that locks the wheels when you dorifto

Jeff Lange 04-10-2012 11:29 AM

It's a Torsen T2, same one that came in the 01-05 Lexus IS300.

This was the only reference to a "mechanical" [aka idiot speak for clutch-pack LSD] that I'm aware of. It's entirely likely it will surface in the form of an accessory or TRD branded aftermarket product down the road.

Just to get it off my chest, ALL differentials are mechanical. Open, clutch-pack, and ATB are all mechanical. When you add electrically controlled servos [et al] to an open diff, you're bolting electronics gizmos onto a *gasp* mechanical diff.

Just add a hinge for easy access...

Great place for all kinds of stuff, lol

Jeff Lange 04-11-2012 03:39 AM

I would like to point out that the MA70/JZA70 Supra along with other cars use the same differential setup, and pretty much any clutch-pack LSD sold for those cars will fit, so there are already a ton of options out there.
