Supercharger and warranty

Is there even the slightest chance of putting a supercharger with a conservative tune on an FR-S and keeping your warranty? I'm thinking "NO!", but I'd love a little more power than stock and one of those twin screw compressors would simply look sick sitting on top of this engine.

I'd think the dealer would be pretty quick to point the blame at the supercharger and deny a drivetrain claim.

Yup, the technician would gladly do that as well. Warranty claims pay less than cash customers. So having an excuse to deny a warranty claim is a win-win for the dealer.

i know from exp and the answer is NO..now someone else on here messed his motor up and got Toyota to replace the motor under warranty but more like likely that wont happen with most ppl. All depends on how cool the service manager is at the local Toyota dealer.

You could speak with the dealer and see if they do the installation if they'd warranty it. Sometimes dealers work out deals on safe aftermarket parts and let people use them and keep warranty. When I had my Jetta our local dealer would do reflashes to higher boost and simple bolt ons (exhaust, intake, intercoolers etc) and you could keep full factory warranty through them.

its really up to the dealer how **** they want to be

If you have to ask, then you shouldn't.

This one, unless Innovate is not reputable? I'm new to Scions (or will be if I pull the trigger, which is very likely).

I knew it was that one. Its sometimes referred to as a unicorn because its been about to be released since about last October, but its still in testing. Anyways, it was completely off topic so my bad on that one.

Innovate is a very good company, people on here are just annoyed because they are taking there time to develop the kit and not posting dyno graphs.

its a heated topic

LC-1 is very different from a supercharger. Not even sure how they got into the rebranded Sprintex/Bullet game.
