Will a non-Scion Toyota dealership service an FR-S?
There's no Scion dealership in my town, would the Toyota dealership be able to service a Scion?
The extra cost on the BRZ is hard to justify, also the local Subbie dealership is absolutely atrocious. |
Call them.

Toyota care should take care of it I asked at the dealer when I bought the car the same question....
|
We have Toyota/Scion combined dealer and they service all Toyota/Scion.

1. Call them
2. For work that I couldn't do and falls outside of warranty I'll probably find an independent Subaru specialist regardless of what the badge says. |
Toyota service departments must be 'certified' to do warranty work on the FR-S. I'm not sure exactly how that process works for Toyota/Scion, but it definitely includes tools and training specific to the FR-S. I'm sure you can find out by asking at your local dealership.
As for a BRZ at a Toyota dealership, I doubt their accountants will accommodate you, but it doesn't hurt to ask. |

I never meant to speak towards that actually. If I bought a BRZ it would just service it at the local Subaru dealer. They're just poorly run so it would always be a headache with those guys... Not to mention the financing on the Subaru is a lot more. |
Any toyota dealership will be able to do warranty work on service on any scion, mind you depending where you are living if they have never touched a frs or a boxer engine you may want to talk to the service manager at your local dealership and introduce yourself and your car and make him aware you will be coming in for serive and im sure he/ or her will make sure there is someone trained, If you need help finding a good dealer for service i can always point you in the right direction and if your still looking for a car our dealership has no problem with home deliveries

Have a look at the warranty and maintenance guide, Pages 30 and 33, especially. PDF link:

I have no Scion dealer near me. I do my own maintenance, but my local Toyota dealer has done the service for me on a couple of warranty issues, my TPMS reprogramming, and it is where I get my parts/oil/etc.

A Toyota-only dealership may have few, if any, Scion-specific parts in stock, however they will be able to get them very quickly.
