Sebring Chin Event June 8-9, 2013

Thought I would start up a thread for the next Sebring Chin Event. Looking forward to seeing some other 86's there. I'll be doing Saturday only.

I will be there for both days.

First time on track with this car; I need to drive it a bit more (bought it about 3 weeks ago and only have 130 miles on it).

I'm going to be testing the @Touge Factory Brake Cooling kit on DTC-60's and stock rotors, and with some high temps in the summer at Sebring, which is one of the hardest tracks on brakes, I should be putting it through it's paces.

I planning to go on saturday, now that smbstyle or LD will be driving my race car at Daytona, right? :)

I wish I could do the Daytona race but I'll be in MN the entire week before, long hours, doing not-so-fun work.. just don't want to be racing while mentally not into it at all.

Thanks for reminding me to send in measurements for the essex bbk :)

Oh and for shits and giggles, I might bring out the Type-R and track her instead ;)

Ugh I wish I could!! Aaron emailed me; I'll be out of town that weekend for my wife and I's anniversary.

Yeah heard you weren't going to make it. LD is going to drive it as far as I know.

So I can't really come up with any reason not to drive the ITR, it's been awhile for it at Sebring..

Dave-ROR 05-15-2013 04:34 PM

And registered.. plenty of solo spots left, not too many novice. Taking the ITR.. guess I need to actually start it, drive it a bit, change fluids, find the track pads, put air in the tires.. ugh.. I mean.. woohoo ;)

ha, two buddies are asking about buying my ITR so I want to run it just in case it does sell. She needs some track time before she's not mine anymore.

Onealpha 05-16-2013 12:27 AM

I will be there for the first time as a novice. My BRZ has less than 1k on it. I have only done track events on mtorcycles before so this will be a new experience for me. Looks like a lot of fun.

FWIW Rivals are awesome, I've used them on sebring a bit now.

I think the ITR has AD08s.. I should check the tread, it might need some rivals too..

Maybe we can finally answer the which is faster question, different drivers but still :)
