Stock Scion radio in 2001 Camry?
The aftermarket head unit I put in my wife's old Camry bit the dust (battery for the nav died and the software bricked - Pioneer AVIC U310-BT if you are wondering). Now that we use our iPhones for nav, all I really want is BT and BT-A for streaming, plus a rear aux input for the XM receiver in the car (has lifetime subscription). The stock Scion headunit fits the bill perfectly.
Has anyone successfully retrofitted this head unit to other cars? If so, what are the pitfalls / issues? I have an extra wiring harness. Thanks! |
It can be done... its just a headunit. you just have to make sure you can mount it properly

As in a frame to secure it in the dash? I installed the Pioneer unit without too much headache - got it from Crutchfield who supplied all the parts I needed.
