Painted the axle back exhaust area

I've painted the visible exhaust pipes / muffler on the past few cars I've owned. Perks of living in the rust belt is crusty looking exhaust bits free -o- charge. Put what really made my mind was not too long ago I was behind another twin on the express way and I really dis-liked the look of the stock parts hanging back there: not the best looking.
Pretty easy to do. Pulled off the tips, painted everything with high temperature black paint, and put the tips back on. Thought it turned out pretty well.

He painted the muffler. Not the exhaust tips which you're probably focused on. You can't see the big silver tub hanging down from underneath.

Does the paint will resist from heat???? does it gonna stay on for a while?

Can probably use engine enamel for applications like these. They tolerate 500-600F, so I don't see why not.
