Just wondering what mods people feel should be done or shouldn't have priority. ANY mods, not just performance ones. For me it's:

1) Armrest (lol)
2) OEM Audio+ Sound upgrade
3a) Exhaust for sound
3b) Sound deadening for loud exhaust and rattes from upgraded sound (lol)
4) Tune.
5) HIDs
6) Intake
7) Emblem and LED swaps (trunk and license plate lights)

I think opticoat and tint are up there before or after tune but not sure if I would count that one.

I'm curious to see where people put aftermarket pulleys or headers.

1. tune
2. exhaust
3. pulley
4. filter

You can see all of my mods in my signature. The only one I really would say is a must have is the Armrest (@Sutty 's is the best by far! 100% satisfaction). Seriously, I can't believe I drove this car for as long as I did without it. It makes driving the MT so much nicer having a comfortable place to rest my elbow.

I love my GT86 head lights and my Foglights. I get a huge grin on my face when I catch a glimpse of them in a reflection or in the back of another car.

The exhaust looks nice in my opinion as it fills up the holes in the rear diffuser. The VG shark fin is nice to look at too.

Everything else I feel rather indifferent about. I feel no difference having a Crank Pulley or a aftermarket intake. Perhaps I would if I drove a stock 86 though /shrug

Looking over all my mods, I would put them in this order if I were to do them again:
1) Armrest
2) Gt86 lights
3) Fog Lights
4) Sidemarkers
5) Shark Fin
6) Exhaust
7) Springs
8) Intake
9) Pulley

edit: I keep putting off a tune, maybe I should do that >.> That would probably shake my list up a bit.

Tunes are a great way to lose 5-8mpg. :P

This is very untrue. Most people gain mpg when tuning assuming driving habits stay the same. Mine increase 1-1.5mpg on the same morning commute.

IMO they all look terrible or are just very unfunctional. For me it was a matter of function over form.

Yea I know but it seems like the only real option is the armrest which plugs the cup holder. I don't drink a lot when I drive so I don't care but that cup holder itself isn't a in there really snug I can't tell if it would shift around even more if I put an armrest mod into it.

The only armrest that's good IMO is one jpit had a GB on the uk forum. It's still over there with someone else now managing it.

I think he was being sarcastic, since after a tune you just want to go wot every chance you get!

Maybe it's just me but the armrest thing doesn't seem necessary at all. I'm definitely installing a sharkfin, window tint, debating between cat-back vs header-back exhaust, and I'm not familiar with tunes but definitely interested.

Does anyone have their tune specs, like a before and after hp and torque gain and MPG gain? As well as approximate cost of doing this? (I would really appreciate that)

This is what I think should be done in the order it should be done in:
1 - Exhaust
2 - Header
3 - Front over pipe
4 - Intake/Turbo
5 - Flywheel
6 - Pully
7 - Cache Can
8 - Tune
9 - Wheels + Tires
10 - Suspension
11 - Exterior Styling
12 - Lights (all light mods)
13 - Audio
14 - Window Tints

Here's what I did:
1 - LED Light mods
2 - Exterior dressings/Interior Dressings
3 - Exhaust
4 - Intake
5 - Audio
6 - whatever I should put on next.
-- I did not follow what I suggested.
