Beep at 1001th mile?

Mine did when I reached 1001. Probably the signal that the break-in period is over?

Gotta say that's a new one on me. I never heard of that either in my car or on this forum. I do have all the bells and whistles turned off so that may be why I never heard it.

What do you mean by 'turned off'?

The beep isn't too subtle, like that beep when you set your rev warning, but like 3 seconds long.

It means, time to rage

I vividly remember my FR-S turning 1001 miles, and I never heard any beep.

The only beep mine made at 1000 was when I hit redline in celebration of hitting 1000...

Is the car plugged in to the socket?

Did you hit redline when you reached "1001" miles?

When I took delivery of my car I was told there was a setting I could select that would cause a light and/or a beep to tell me when to down or up shift. Also there was a display I could activate that would show me what gear I was in. I never activated any of those features. I left them off. They are what I refer to as bells and whistles.

maybe you had something in the passenger seat and it caused the passenger seatbelt warning to come up for a moment

I was driving solo, at a 15mph traffic. It was at 998 miles, planning to take a pic, but forgot about it. 3 miles later, I heard a 3-second beep, looked at the odometer and cursed myself for missing the 1000th mile.

They are bells and whistles without penalty.. No extra weight, std option and kind of useful.. Nice touch in a low cost sports car... IMO.

That's o.k. Though they might be a nice touch I find them unnecessary. However, I am aware that there are many new, inexperienced drivers buying the FR-S/BRZ twins and this low cost touch could be beneficial to them.

Did you take your phone out and put it on the passenger seat?

That can fool the airbag sensor into thinking there is someone there and it will beep to tell you to buckle your seat belt. That's probably what you heard.
