24 Watt LED DRL/Hi beams!

I ordered some lighting parts from Precision LEDs a while back (HID/Switchbacks/reverse lights etc) to improve the look of the car. I had already done the vinyl wrap and carbon pieces but I was really annoyed at the stock brown/yellow headlights. I was very happy with the package that I bought from Precision, the switchbacks matched the color of the 6K HID perfectly. The ballasts are nice and small so it was easier to mount/hide all the hardware.

So today I received a super secret LED DRL/Hi-Beam product from Precision and here's a short video of the previous products plus the new LED DRL/Hi-Beams. The color and intesity on all the Precision products are amazing.. Not to mention they have the best customer support.

I'm a nerd and don't talk much.. just saying! Taken with my GoPro as well

Beautiful. What do the highbeam light patterns look like? Is it well focused?

The pattern for the LED is 4 very large LEDs in a square pattern on the bulb. It basically changed my normal Hi-beam pattern to about 1.5x more light but the same light coverage distance and width wise

Take some night shots if you can. Looks interesting.

Do the DRL/Hi-beam bulbs actually have two seperate functions or is it just one stock output that is an in between light (i.e. brighter and more dispersion that DRL but less that Hi-beams). When you flick your Hi-beams does anything change?

Can you show them with the DRLs on (i.e. put the car in gear) and then switching to high beams?

I tried doing that but the GoPro gets way too grainy at night. When I hit the hi beams all you could see was 2 bright lights and no car

They are same intensity DRL or Hi-beam. During the day the lights get drowned out by sunlight.

Works for me.

Funny enough, that was the first instance of hearing them. Just got back from a long trip that pushed the car over 5k miles..

I dont think anyone sells LED that are lower intensity as DRL and higher as Hi-beam. You can either buy low intensity LEDs for DRL and then you get no Hi-beam whatsoever, or you can get a higher intensity LED that can DRl and Hi-beam. I'll take a shot at it during midday tomorrow to show you that the light is dimmed out by the sunlight but still visible as a DRL.

The stock lights are standard halogen and the way it works stock is that when it's in DRL mode the lights get halfed the power. When you hit the hi-beam on the stock lights it gets full power.

You would need 2 different LED bulbs and 2 power sources for this to work I imagine, or at least some fancy circuitry because LED's are digital components, they are on or off, no 50% power dimming like analog bulbs.

I mean of a wall infront of you to see how the beam is. My current LED high beams essentially do nothing at all besides look cool lol.
