Simple way to open .iso files

Daemon has been suggested but I did not want yet another program.

You already have 7-zip right? (If not, just get it to open zipped-type files, including .iso's)

Right click the .iso\7-zip\Extract here\ Now you find whatever and use it.

I found that although 7-Zip allows you to simply "Open Archive" and see all the contents you may not be able to use e.g. an .html file from it in IE ... I had to EXTRACT first

I feel like you are trying to use another forum, but....

WINCDEmu is a super light weight program and I think it had a portable version.

Or upgrade to windows 8. It's built in.

uhhh... Nice topic.

I use Virtual Clone Drive though.

Wrong forum but you should use Daemontools

Use Daemon.

When your illegal download asks for disc 2, Daemon makes it easier.

Depending on what's in the file: daemon tools to read it if it's an actual ISO file... otherwise the person should have zipped it in the first place.

I posted to this forum on purpose as, (not wishing to incriminate anyone) very recently there is a very useful .iso file available via this site and a lot of members are trying to use it, and difficulties were being posted.

I hope you get my drift.

Get a mac. Problem solved.

If you're trying to open a compressed .iso file, like the service manual file that was uploaded as a compressed .iso file/container, use winrar to decompress the files.

If your iso is a cd image, such as a game dvd copy, use daemon tools to mount it.

This should be in the off topic forum of you should have posted your question in the relevant thread, guessing the service manual one.
