shipping bumper from japan to australia
What is the Best Way to Ship a car bumper from Japan to Australia, Time is not an issue,
bumper is 200cm x65cm x 80cm approx 30 kgs? ive been quoted ridiculous prices like $2500 grand for shipping for one bumper piece... the value of the bumper is $680 the company im buying from is a japan local company but is willing to ship if i can find a company that can deliver here in sydney.. any ideas or suggestions i dont mind waiting months for it to come,as long as it does in one piece and doesnt cost too much... |
Go ask if Import Monster can help?
|
waiting for reply from import monster
|
still waiting for a quote from import monster, i have received confirmation emails and have got several emails from them just not one with a price for shipping,
|
i sent several emails over the weeks to import monster, asking for an update on the ticket number? no response or answer on it,
then i requested a new request, still no answer...owell they might be good, but just not with me lol owell JDM Garage is cheaper by far...im buying an $800 bumper and there charging $620 shipping to my address in syd australia from Japan. Import monster according to there shipping estimate calculator equals $1840 all up with cost of bumper so $800 bumper, $1040 for shipping-tax etc, but that wasnt done by an import monster representative it was done by there calculator. lol and DHL and other major shipping companies charge $2640 for shipping alone so packaged would have been $3240 for that one part lol thats like my montly pay check lol But will Let you guys know how it goes when the package arrives and ill post images up, if its aloud on the forum lol thanks for the help |

Not to be off topic but for some reason this car reminds me of Nike shoes.
But back to the car itself, it's a matter of personal taste of course, so as long as you're happy with the colour. I mean it might be your favourite colour that's why you painted it in that hue. If it was me I'd probably do it in this kind of blue tone and style (but then again it's almost like stock BRZ blue viewed at nighttime): Or alternatively if I had to go matte paint, I'd probably do it Batman style with black matte and then maybe combined with very dark navy blue rims if I had to put colours... or maybe dark gunmetal like below with some small touch to add a bit of character.... PS: One more thing - just curious, your bumper, isn't it restricting the air flow to the engine? Seems to note have enough ventilation from the pic... http://i62.tinypic.com/mvhw6p.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/2i1e1k7.jpg Or this: http://i60.tinypic.com/28k2atx.jpg |
