My car got BROKEN into.

So after a long day of work I come home and find glass all over the ground. Somebody broke into my FRS :mad0260:, I'm not worried so much about the window because I have full insurance and that can be replaced, its the small chips in the paint made from the broken glass and scratches on the interior that piss me off.

They also wrote the number 33 on the quarter panel window whatever that means. Keep a close watch on your frs/brz's.

p.s. any recommendations on getting the paint chips fixed or have extra interior parts?

that sucks to hear. I just set up surveillance cameras around the house because of things happening around the neighborhood lately. Goodluck on finding replacements and fixing your paintchips

Sorry to hear that. What city did this happen in? I would look into what that 33 meant? And find that person who messed up your car.

He man im really sorry to hear about your car.

Simpleviet 05-09-2013 01:15 PM

ouch....Where did it happen? I hope they didn't find anything valuable!

CamryDS 05-09-2013 01:18 PM

Holy crap, sorry to hear about your car =/

Now i'm worried too, this sucks. I hope it doesn't mean 33 hits. Though it could mean some local street gang or something. That's what I suspect most, since they did write something. I hope they didn't take anything.

Damn, that sucks man. Hope they didn't take anything valuable. I know the feeling, car got broken into while I was at the gym, got my backpack w/ wallet, laptop, etc. stolen. Never left anything valuable in the car since.

Regarding the paint scratches/chips, how bad are they? If they are light (just the clear coat) any good detailer with a buffer and some skill can fix that for you. If they are actual chips, you might be able to just fix it with some touch up paint and a really small brush (I like to use the really tiny ones from the hobby shop). Interior scratches are tougher to fix, might have to live with those or get new panels. Might be a good time for some JPM coachworks? Interior parts might be a little tricky to find on-line right now and getting parts from the dealer is always a rip-off.

Damn, sorry to hear about this! And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. :(

Pics of the scratches? Sorry to hear dude!
Maybe an enemy you made recently? or someone you cut off before on like 33rd ave or something :S

san pablo, all they took was my ipod.

redGSRguy 05-09-2013 02:16 PM

Damn that sucks at least they did not steal the car. Was the ipod in plain view? If so be sure to conceal valuables in the future!

The paint chips aren't that bad there actually very small but the thing is I know its there lol I mean the car only has 2000 miles on it, I just might have to go to a hobby shop. Thanks for the recommendation on jpm coachworks Im gonna get some stuff from them now.
