What were you running when it blew up? Inverter?

Check the fuse (check the owner's manual if you don't know where the fuse boxes are...).

If the fuse is fine, swap out the plug with a new one and don't use whatever blew up the last one.

i was using a 12v phone charger. Im trying to figure it which fuse it actually is. The car manual does indicate which one it is. Unless im not looking hard enough..ill try and check again

Pull the fuse box cover from under the dash, the underside is labeled with what fuse goes to what.

Sorry to bring up a semi-old thread but has anyone found a solution or a cause yet? Same thing happened to me today. Center console 12V not working (worked last night) but the 12V in the golve box is working. Haven't had a chance to check the fuses, do both of these outlets use the same fuse or do they have thie own fuse?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

Yeah I blew a fuse on mine causing the center 12V port to not work. I don't remember the exact location of the fuse, but it is on the driver side, up under the dash.

Edit. Just looked it up. It will be slot 23 labeled "CIG" and it's a 15A fuse. :)

Thanks,
Rick

I was able to find and replace the fuse. But I keep blowing this fuse. All I am doing is charging my phone. I bought new chargers that are supposed to work but I keep blowing the fuse. Any ideas?

The 12v plug gets loose. Any subaru I have owned does it. It causes the fuse to blow constantly. Either take off your center consol and tighten it up once a week or keep a box of fuses handy. I would change mine at least once aonth.
