Ebay Fog Light Kit...

I saw this listing (item# 271199825841) on ebay for a fog light kit. I have not been able to contact the company's 1-800 number yet but I gotta say it seems abit fishy first off with the incorrect picture in the listing and the false info about this part being offered thru Toyota. Also that manufactured number show is not from Toyota or Subaru from what I can tell and I work at Toyota in parts so I see pretty much all numbers and products. There is a slim chance but I can tell you personally that Toyota does not offer a fog light kit yet so I don't know what those guys really have. Just giving you guys a heads up on a fog light kit listing before you are dupped. Like you though, I hope its true because I want some as well. Toyota offers the DRL lights in place of the fogs but they are no where near as sexy.

I beg to differ my dude. I was just at a car show and people couldn't stop asking me about my drl's in place of the fog lights. Me personally I'm over the fog lights because everybody has them. So my goal is to be different from the rest. But to each its own I guess. But thanks for the heads up on the fog lights on ebay.

lol aite...well they definitely have that new car look so its probably something I could get used to. I am fairly close to buying them if no actual fog light kit shows up with Toyota. Again that ebay listing could be a working kit but I definetly hadn't see one thru Toyota yet.

there are diy's for installing fogs and people have been pricing it out accordingly. you can make it look and act factory for just around 200 bucks... so this ebay listing plus the necessary stalk comes out to be about the same price as what most people are figuring. it's fairly easy to do as long as you follow directions.

anyone got hold with the Seller?

Yea I've noticed all the DIY work but the thing you stated that made me comment on this ebay seller is that his kit is cheaper than the $200 DIY job and if its an all in one kit its more convenient. I'm gonna try and contact the seller tommorrow if i get some time.

By the way...do the DRL kits put off any decent light at night or are they basically more show than vision? Just curious.

actually this "kit" is less convenient. it doesn't include the stalk. (unless i read it wrong). by using the stalk you can tap into the factory harness and use the fogs exactly the way they were designed to be used. otherwise if you use this "kit" then you will have to run wire in your bay. i help my friend the other day installing fogs with the stalk. works just fine and is clean! he screwed up his steering wheel while installing the stalk... but that's his fault not mine. :P

It said OEM STYLE. OEM STYLE mean replica NOT OEM items.

Meaning, it doesn't NOT use any oem toyota parts.

Posted these on another thread already but I found the foglight stalk and foglights from the same seller on Ebay.
With the help of the DIY and a friend , I'm going to give it a try.

id rather have fog lights than drl strip. More about function in this case. i wonder how much it will be if i have toyota or subaru install it. Im terrible with DIYs most of the time
