Injen intake question

Ok so my question is can I remove the maf bypass tube inside the intake and will it affect the engine? Because i'm experiencing some stalling and random intake pop. I've tried the stock one no pop, no stalling in two week. I think the inner tube is there juste to recreate the flow of the stock intake.

I tried that and it did not work on mine i even repolished all the interior and nothing worked, sold it and bought knn drop in with perrin inlet tube never had a problem since!!

Do you have a tune yet?
Alot of people complain about the injen intake and the car dying, I also had one myself before I went the supercharger route. My car died a few times but after I got a tune it never died again. It seems like a tune is a requirement for running the injen intake and a few other intakes out there so that you don't run into any issues.

^^ what he said.

We've sold many of the Injen intakes and almost half have similar issues, and all had it fixed with a tune. It is a MAP issue from what I've learned..

If tuning is on your list of mods, now is a good time to snatch one up, and get the extra HP out of it as well ;)

The car actually shutoff while at a stop when in neutral. I would get the idle dip the car is known for, then it would dip so low car would stall. It would kind of just gently shutoff the car wouldnt jerk or anything. This happend maybe 5 times in about 3-4 months but after I got a tune the issue was resolved.

Mmm i think there is no other way. Paying 1000$ for a tuning kit just for a 400$ (tuned) air intake system.. I'll wait till i get my berk muffler to do the move!

Maybe because I have the automatic trans. It doesn't affect me as much? :S

Mmm... I'm not experiencing any stalling or pops, but it's time to consider some tune...
