Looking for Titanium Lug Nuts
 

I recently took off my wheels the other night to paint the MICHELIN text on the tyres. I noticed that the inner threads of my original WedsSports duraluminium nuts showed small signs of wear sooo I'm thinking of upgrading to some Titanium nuts. Anyone else know of any other brands BESIDES Muteki's??

I know this is only my own personal experience (anecdotal evidence and all) but I would strongly disagree.

I bought a set from a vendor (not naming them, wasn't really their fault) and they were badly threaded and did not spin on normally. I had 4 bad lugs out of 25. All 4 had visibly distorted threads, rough surface finish, and the pitch was off. I tried them on multiple lug studs including both stock and my new ARP ones. I have pics and video of this.

Kics insisted they were fine, I was using them wrong etc. Not only did Kics tell me I was using them wrong, but I even sent them to Kics who said they were fine and they had checked them on their gauge. THe vendor suggested I put them on using antiseize (yeah, no)...In the end, I am willing to accept that sometimes marginal parts will slip through controls. It happens to any factory anywhere. What I don't accept is being talked down to by a company I spent money with, have it implied I can't thread a fucking nut on a bolt, or that clearly fucked up parts are fine. That told me that in addition to not having the customer service skills to just make me happy they have crap quality control. Anyways...:threadjacked:

Wow that sucks I have had several sets of KICS (other cars) and they have nothing been flawless sorry for your issues.

Probably going to go for the Tikores so at this stage unless someone else know any better alternatives. Not looking for any Ti composite though, or Ti plated nuts. Want a pure titanium nut through and through. Tikore's seem the most reasonably priced so far and their products being used on high end cars is kinda comforting.
