lol, I've got the same thing. Oh well. Just enjoy the car. The lip on the door exit is REALLY high. Almost everyone who gets out of my car kicks the side of the door or the lip on the inside. :bonk::bonk:

Here is a shot from a table I tested it on with a plastic coating that was getting scratched. Very similar texture to the door panel.

I'm gonna buy the JDM door speaker inserts with the padding once my drivers side gets worn out. It's nearly there already at 8k miles.

When you get out of the car pretend you're tip-toeing...meaning you have to be careful about where you put your foot, as if you're trying to be really quiet. Once you get itno the habit of getting out that way you'll be able to do it quicker. Basically you have to retrain yourself. Either that or kick the boots off for flip flops or something for the ride home from work.
