There are a lot of knowledgable folks in the forum willing to help out! Perhaps you could provide some details to help get some meaningful info to you:

-What are your goals for new tires/ wheels? Performance, looks, both?
-what size wheel do you want? Do you like the current 17 inch look?
-Are you modding your suspension/springs/ride height?
-What finish do you want?

It's great that you have a target budget, these additional details will help you get some relevant info.

ebay wheel and tire specials

I'm looking 18"x8.5/9.5 either black or white finish. For look but still do a good job of performane. After I get the rims, I'll install eibach spring 1" lower.

$1000 - is that for both tires and wheels? If so, you'll probably have to look for used wheels... or less brand-name wheel. Maybe check out Rota, XXR, or Drag wheels - good quality wheels on a budget - they'll be heavy though

For tires, how much are you willing to stretch the tires?

^^^ Good question. They are not 18's, but they are 17.9's, light weight at 17.8 lbs, and good quality. They were just a tad over $1k shipped.

Search craigslist or the forum for your area. Occasionally you can get a steal on wheels and tires. Just be patient.

Just check out the XXR 530 or XXR 527 lol they look good and not that expensive.

IloveBaldEagles 05-05-2013 10:29 PM

XXR weigh almost as much as the OEM wheels, they would be good for looks but will not get you a lot of performance. If you can save up a little more and go to $1500 then you can get wheels that are light and look good. RPF1 maybe? And if you care color picky, save up a little more and powder coat them to any color you want.

My budgets is for both tires and rims lol so save up a little more is still too much for me lol

You'll end up with bad tires with $1,000 wheels + tires.

Just be patient, set that $1,000 aside and save up some more. You'll end up with A LOT better looking, performing wheels and better tires.

save your money, dont rock replica wheels.

Just exploit the used market as quality rims with a bit of gutter rash seem to lose their value rather quickly.

buy some xxr's and some Indonesian or Taiwanese tire...
