I joined the group buy for the clear side markers only because it was stated that the side markers were So I put my deposit down and the group buy hit 20 people. So they ship the next day right? Wrong. Then 86_ZN6 posts this wonderful nugget:

So clearly they weren't in stock, and he's waiting on them to arrive where ever he is located and then waste more time shipping them to us.

This pisses me off so I ask to cancel my order since my order doesn't even show processing on the website let alone shipped. He PM's me his cancellation notice stating that I'm subject to a cancellation fee for orders that have been processed.

Yeah ok, you could have taken the higher ground and just cancelled my order and been done with it. So no tracking number, nothing on my order has changed, and others are posting in the thread stating that this was shady to advertise that these were instock when it wasn't at all.

It's been 2 weeks since the group buy hit 20 members to put it into perspective. Call me impatient. Call me an asshole for wanting to cancel my order. But don't advertise something as in stock when it's not, it's the only reason why I joined when I could have ordered on Ebay for the same price.

Here are some quotes to show I'm not alone in my feelings for this group buy...

So yeah, I'm making this into a much bigger deal than it has to be. If you would have just refunded my money this post wouldn't exist and I wouldn't have to go through my credit card company to try and get my money back.

"In stock in the USA," technically, means that someone, somewhere within the US, has them in stock. -.-

Like i said on the thread, my post was an error on my side.

What I meant was " they are in stock from HELIX USA and will ship once group buy has been met"

Do what you have to do with your chargeback

Your credit card company will ask me for some supporting documents and i will send them your shipping info

Receiving the product and filling a chargeback is considered fraud


2 weeks are you sure?? Groupbuy requirement was met April 29. It's Not even a week yet. Please have your time frames right!

If that's what you meant then maybe you should've wrote that. Now you're putting a customer on blast that YOU mislead instead of doing the right thing and just issuing a refund AND apology for YOUR mistake!!

86_ZN6 requested the other one be deleted. Not sure what in this thread warrants it being closed?

post_break and i decided to settle this issue privately :)

he got his sidemarkers and now he is dealing with his bank to pay me the money he owes for the side markers

his bank made an error. we both made an error

Yeah, I had issues with his plate frame group buy.

After seeing his response to Dave in this thread, I'll never consider him for another purchase.

Glad things are getting settled.

Here is what happened. After it was made clear that the side markers were not in stock and 86_ZN6 wanted to charge me a restocking fee I contacted my credit card company to go about getting a refund.

The side markers showed up on 5/19/13 and were signed for by my apartment complex so I couldn't just refuse the delivery. That same day I contacted my credit card company to cancel the charge back. I was still pissed about the whole situation but whatever, they showed up and I'm not going to commit fraud and be an all around asshole.

Unknown to me my credit card company processed the charge back on the 24th. I had no clue they did this until I got a nasty gram this morning from 86_ZN6 wanting to take me to court.

I called the credit card company and they said they processed it in error and it should have been cancelled. They are now in the process of rebilling the sale.

Again, I cancelled the chargeback the day I got the shipment, I'm not trying to steal or lie about what happened.

I have no clue what 86_ZN6 posted about me since those threads were closed and I don't live on this forum.

Shit happens, but if people are honest it gets worked out.
