First Post - BRZ @ DC Auto Show

What's up, everyone!? Stopped by the DC Auto Show today and was able to sit in a silver BRZ (6A). I'm 6'6, 210 lbs and managed to fit like a glove - honestly, I couldn't have been more happy. Last time my heart beat so fast was prom night (today had a much better outcome). I was going back and forth between an STi and a BRZ. No more debate. BRZ FTW! Some other takeaways:

- The car looks significantly better in person than in pictures. There are lots of design details that aren't picked up over the internet.
- Sits incredibly low to the ground.
- Seats were very snug; I doubt a man/woman of substantial girth could fit properly.
- Interior was, how do you say, utilitarian. Has everything you need and nothing you don't.
- The trunk is spacious, but shallow.
- Backseat might as well be a bulkhead.

Took a few photos with my Droid X, apologies for the quality...

Lol...

Welcome I'm glad you had fun, you should go introduce yourself to the rest of the forum in the new member section. You can look for it or use the search function above. In fact everyone would appreciate it if you did introduce yourself over there as your first post. I'm sure everyone will really appreciate your sentiments there, we all feel the same way about these cars. There is technically many sections to this forum, and many topics such as this DC auto show BRZ has been covered you should look in there and post there as well. This way we don't have 6 threads on the same topic.

Again Welcome. Have a Nice time here.

Giddyup, sounds good. Really happy to see there's already a lively FT-86/BRZ population.

Definitely, you might as well be in an Outback. I even had a few inches of headroom to spare. Happy days indeed!

You have no idea how happy this info makes me!

You just made my night. I have been worried about fitting and you just made most of my worries go away. I am 6'7" but somehow I fit in smaller cars like my miata but I was still concerned I was going to have to get a GC.

merlin, poorman, I know exactly how happy you both are. When I arrived at the show, I went straight to the Subaru stand, my heart beating faster with each step. Soon as my ass hit the seat it was bliss.

Another thing - the steering wheel is fabulous. I know some of the first drive reviews have commented on it, but I have to reiterate how perfect the thing is. The car truly felt 100% driver-centric.

And now the wait...

I love this. I like a simple interior. My CR-Z has a very cool looking interior, but I'd be just as happy, if not more so with a simple highly functional one.
