VOTING TIME! Help NorCal 86 DRIVE pick its new logo

As hopefully most of you know, we have some great driving roads in Northern California, and some of us love to drive them in our cars! We naturally started to get together and form a driving club. Perhaps you’ve joined us on one of our recent get-togethers and drives. Now we’d like your help to decide on what design to use as our club logo. This logo will go on our club website, which is 86DRIVE.com, and eventually we will have some merchandise you can buy to help support the club: t-shirts, stickers, mugs that sort of thing. So please take a look and vote!

Here’s our mission statement, as it currently stands:

Quote:

We are a group of driving enthusiasts ... There are plenty of car clubs who get together and hang out somewhere and just talk about their cars. That’s all well and good. But the defining characteristic of our organization, is that we love to DRIVE! Whether it’s at the racetrack, the local autocross, or our favorite twisty backroad, our passion for driving is so strong that we are eager to wake up early, sometimes before dawn, in order to get out there and enjoy the road while it is clear. Or to drive long distances to get to a track/autocross. Our passion motivates us to get together with other like-minded individuals, and share the fun.

OK on with the show!

I think the winner should be official (#5 i hope by the looks of it) but #4 could still be a cool alt tshirt of something.

Also, since its so damn early I hope we look into hoodies as well. (Ill volunteer to get quotes if you need the help). Lol

Simple is best.

Thanks guys. Yeah so far #5 is the clear leader but I will let the voting continue at least through the weekend. If anyone else is going to the Simplicity meet or the KK meet today please spread the word and encourage people to vote!

:thanks:

I'm really loving the simple and consistent look for design #5. Its not very busy or cluttered and does not combine computer graphics with realisic photos so it flows very well. My vote goes to it!

Thanks, Plato, Chris, and everyone who worked to create these designs!

Someone needs to go through your mission statement and edit it for grammar.

I like how the cars look on design 4, if you swap that with design 5 that would look better IMO.

Not sure on any of them. I think for a logo, simplicity and minimalistic is best. I'm not part of the club though, so I think my opinion is moot.

As far a design standpoint, I feel the fourth is strongest. Minus cursive font.

I like the simple of design # 5 but don't like the cars look compared to #4 so i choose #4.

go for it. I wrote it late at night with no 2nd pair of eyes so please help out. It is meant to be informal though, I'm not going to put it on a plaque or anything, and it is open to revision.

It's easy to join the club... join us on one of our drives, and you're in.

I like design 5. It is simple. Like a minimalist poster. Can I cast a vote as an outsider or I shall be banned?
