Fatal GT86 accident

3 Attachment(s)
Yesterday my friend sent me a link to a GT86 that was involved in a horrific crash which was unfortunately a fatal wreck. It's very hard to imagine how the car ended up where it did by looking at the zoomed out photo.

My condolences go out to the family and friends who lost a loved one from this terrible accident.

"Cape Town Man Dies After Toyota GT-86 Goes Off Cliff Near Koelbaai

The body of a Cape Town man has been found in his vehicle (Toyota GT-86) down a cliff between Gordon's Bay and Koelbaai. His family feared that his car might have left the road after he was driving on the R44 from Arabella Golf Estate to Cape Town at about 3pm on 13th April 2013. The wreck was found on Monday (15th April) after NSRI saw the car at Dappe Se Gat which is near Koelbaai. Some comments regarding the cause of the accident are the car's skinny tyres (rather ignorant) but others seem to think he might have swerved for baboons or something of the sort. It is a terrible accident nonetheless, RIP."

Looking at the first picture I was like "Oh my God..." then I scrolled down and said "OH MY GOD" That's terrible... It looks like a crumpled soda can:/

Good lord that's terrible. Looks like they just peeled the top to get the driver out. Found 2 days later? Ugh.. I hope they died instantly. :(

Very sad to see. Hopefully he was not one of our members here. I know we have at least one Metallic Orange from South Africa that frequents this forum.

RIP man.

Very sad and unfortunate. Some of the most beautiful drives I've seen pictures of always look like they could be the deadliest.

A reminder of how precious life really is. Be safe out there my friends.

It doesn't appear that he was a member here.
That accident was about 2 weeks ago.

where is the road? since it isnt seen in the far shot, that must have seemed like eternity when he started losing control. :(
