Quick headlight question

I wasnt really sure what to call it so i came up with minimal search results but im looking to black out my front headlights, not the bulb or the the headlight itself, but the chrome looking part under the light itself. i think someone told me it is called baking the interior of the head light, gah idk if that explains it well enough, but i was wondering what exactly is involved in this process and about how much it cost for you to do yours, feel free to post or pm,
Cheers!

You don't have to black out the high beams. You can mask that part off if you'd like and still paint the chrome trim around it.

I'm looking into it, but I'll probably wait till I pull it all apart for a bi-xenon retrofit and still black out the high beam reflectors since they won't be needed after that.

I was thinking of doing the same

go research the morimoto bixenon quik retrofit at theretrofitsource.com. It will allow you to use the projector as low and high beam so you can just throw in a set of led in the highbeam socket when you black it out

Had a good buddy of mine help with blacking out the chrome housing. I did the entire housing including DRL's but swapping the regular halogen bulbs for higher output LED's worked fine. In addition, we had to put in projectors for proper light output while driving. End product looks clean though, IMO. haha

Actually, the high beam chrome is a separate piece and doesn't need to be masked off for painting. I went bi-xenon, but I still kept the stock high beam with upgraded HIR bulbs. Much more output than HIDs alone.

edit: just realized the date on the original post... Looks to be bumped by someone selling their services.
