How soon after did you swap suspension?

Any other car I've done it the first month, literally, but I just can't bring myself to lower the car with only 150 miles on it. It is such a blast to drive now, I'm afraid I'll lose some of that once I lower it. I already have my mind set on the eibach pro-kit, and want to wait for bilsteins or eventually get koni's in the distant future...thoughts?

See sig....3500 mi @ about 4 months. All mods are in order done since new.

8-9 months and ~7000 miles of ownership until suspension change depending on when I get my warranty strut back.

Exhaust was done in 2-3 weeks for the axleback, lmao.

I am enjoying the manufacturer's engineering, no plans for changing yet. If you like it the way it is now, just keep it stock until one blows or you want something different.

I made it to 5k miles on the stock suspension. i barely made it to 2k on the stock exhaust. 1k for the intake.

i have a serious problem.

3 weeks in for coilovers. Just rounded out with swaybars, endlinks, and adjustable rear control arms this weekend, which is about 7 months in due to lack of time.

I recommend going with Konis. They tend to be better matched to higher spring rates and take lowering much better. I had them on my LGT and would not go with any other if going with a spring/strut combo.

Tint was in three weeks. Ordered wheels the first month. Eibach Pro Kit springs at about 6000 miles. Then OEM Mud flaps. LOL.

No problems. I am happy. Car looks and feels better.

Took me 6 months for RCE springs. After I put my summer wheels on, it looked bad with too much wheel gap. IMO, it's even more fun now and the front feels more planted.

That's the issue I'm facing now, was going to wait for springs but the gap is more noticeable with the new summer wheels.

drove it home from the dealer and drove this out of the shop 5 days later...(mine is the lower one ;-)

I was able to take the car to the local dealer and get side by side shots.

After about 14k miles, 30 track days, and 4 months on stock suspension and ginger alignment tweaks, we started to do significant amounts of testing and providing R&D feedback on TEIN SRC coilovers.

f0rge 04-30-2013 04:39 PM

3 months (waiting for winter to end it's icy grip on my ride height) and about 3000kms (~1850miles).

Personally I like the car a lot better lowered with new shoes and some sticky rubber.

AZFA20 04-30-2013 05:18 PM

I made it 300 miles before I installed full GroundControl coilovers haha.
