Exterior temperature

How do I change the temp from Celsius to fahrenheit?

continuecrushing 04-26-2013 09:41 PM

1.Determine the temperature in Fahrenheit(look at dash readout)
2.Using your calculator, subtract 32
3.Multiply the result times 5
4.Divide that answer by 9
5.Your final answer is the temperature in Celsius

Jkjk, bump for answer!

I thought you guys shun our systems down here, why would you want "F" instead of "C"? I figured your cars would have already been setup with "C" anyway.

...Umm he wants Fahrenheit, not Celsius.
With that said, I have no idea. Lol.

You'd think if you change it from MPH to KPH it would change the temperature from F to C respectively. Go figure.

Wow...I fail at reading lol.

Anymore info from someone to change it?

I've tried that and it does nothing. I want the temp in F not C.

I live right across the river from Detroit michigan. I've grown up watching American tv and I prefer F over C. The car is set to C because I bought it in Canada.

I apparently reversed my reading skills halfway through my response.

Anyone else notice anything weird with their temp sensor? Mine was reading 100F the other day when it was about 81 outside. I started the car and it ran like crap for about 5 minutes before it straightened out a bit and the temp was reading correctly. Its only happened once so far.

Pretty sure that when the car is sitting (in the sun for instance) you're not going to get an accurate outside temp reading.

Also pretty sure the thermometer reading has zero to do with how your car is running.

Subtract 32, divide by 1.8 = °F to °C

Multiply by 1.8, add 32 = °C to °F

Less steps

I realized that the thermometer had nothing to do with the car's performance. I just noticed the two at the same time. Maybe the black car just got that hot out in the FL sun and it didn't like it? Not sure. Hasn't happened since though. We haven't yet made it to the really hot summer months here though.
Guess I am going to start walking a bit further just so I can park in the work garage.
