Question about side airbag
 

hi all,

i have a question for those of you lucky ones who have seen a FRS/86/BRZ in real life.

do the seats have side airbags inside them?

would love to know as i might want to swap to buckets in the future (and it's illegal in Australia to do so if the seats have airbags built in).

I haven't seen it in person, but I think I read in another thread that there may be side curtain airbags, and possible bags in the door panels, but I think it was mentioned there are NOT bags in the seats themselves.

the spec said there are side airbags and curtains. i looked hard at the available pics on the forum and it doesn't seem to have airbags inside the seats but i can't tell if there are any in the doors. most if not all side airbags these days are inside the seat and i really hope this isn't the case.

would love a definite answer.

Yes there is side air bags according to another member in another forum. Idk about the seat airbags.

I can't give you a source, but I remember reading somewhere that there aren't any airbags in the seats.

Hi guys. I sat in a brz the other day. Yes there are indeed side air bags but no seat air bags.
