Turbo BRZ smashes a Supercharged v8 in a drag
 

I WISH I HAVE A VIDEO FOR THIS!

Was at the Eastern Creek Drag Races here in Sydney Australia, last Saturday. A Turbo BRZ did a 10.219 secs quarter mile and smashed a FPV GT (ford performance vehicles, a Australian performance division of Ford, similar to TRD with toyota). The FPV GT stock has 335kw (450hp) at the wheels. The FPV GT is rear wheel drive and weighs 1700kg (3780lbs). The GT got a 11.411 secs quarter mile and had exhaust mods by the looks of it.

So was the Ford an actual GT, meaning the mid engined supercar with a twin screw SC and dry sumped V8? Or was it a Mustang GT with a supercharger?

Looks to be neither but just a Ford Falcon

HAHAHA! I watched that video so many times before for them giggles!

The Ford was not the GT nor was it a Mustang GT. It is a Australian FPV (Ford performance vehicle) GT, that has a quadcam supercharged v8 (also the same engine in the Jaguar XKR) but FPV tuned it to get more power.

The australian government doesnt like Ford, because it eats away at Holden and Chevrolet's market share. So Ford cannot make over-powerful cars. Ford makes the GT and said that it is 450hp was at the crank, but it is actually 450hp at the wheels so the government wont know.

Yes thats right. Unless my eyes are failing me. It was the 400m sprint. 400m = 1/4 mile.

Wasn't a 86. Was a Galaxy Silica Black BRZ. I guess he isn't on this forum... :thumbdown:
