What is a good setting to put for the rev
I've been playing around with the rev option setup but have yet to come up with a good setting. What is a good setting to set my rev for and why?
|
Depends how fast and accurate you shift
|
I have mine set to 3200 (light only, no beep)...about 72 in 6th...it keeps me from receiving state greeting cards
|
I'm pretty good at shifting but I just have yet to feel out where I'm comfortable at for the rev.
Spoon- lol I hear ya. I'm surprised that I have yet to receive some nice state greeting cards yet lol. |
I got mine at 7300.
Edit noticed you wanted reason why. Set mine that way cuz someone recommended it for my driving style |
at 7300, how good is when you downshift? The reason why I ask is because I been seeing alot of people setting their setting to around like 2100-2300
|
@sklimo if you don't mind me asking what is your driving style?
|
I have mine set for 7200

I keep mine off. Only used it during the 1000 mile break in period to nag me when I was getting overzealous with the engine > 4K.
If I'm casually driving, I let the conditions (traffic, acceleration, road incline/decline, straights/curves) dictate appropriate shift points. If I'm pushing it, I just need to know where redline is, and the OEM indicator doesn't go that high anyway. |

Mine is at 6500 and to me is more of a warning. To draw my attention to the tach. To be honest it's so quiet I don't hear it 90% of the time it goes off. And I am watching out my windshield not the tach.

How do you get it to beep? That could be useful
