Cue face palm

was on facebook today and saw a guy w/ a used 2009 jetti tdi. he had like 8 posts in the last few weeks about how amazing his car was. (btw I hope no one on this forum acts this cocky about our car)
http://caremergency.typepad.com/.a/6...ed9f970d-800wi
heres a couple gems:
"Haha.. its such a cool feeling to get 'the nod' from other people with nice cars ;-)"
"Bentley. And a yellow Ferrari. . Haha.. its how you drive it I guess"

"Honestly.. who hides a state trooper car on my home road... gahh.. atleast he complimented my car.."

"Hahaha " dude, you just bought a jetta, all the hot rich girls are totally going to be attracted to you now" haha.. o stop it you ... some people."

"you know what feels good on a slightly chilly morning on the way to work.... heated leather seats ;-)"

ugh I know it's venting but I think its more annoying than a ricer when ppl w/ sub par cars act like they are the shit and kings of everything

it is annoying and I know what you're talking about but to some the smallest things are the biggest deal.

LOL I'm going to give 'the nod' next time I see one on the road to make the owner feel especiale.

I think it's a bit silly, but i'm sure we all do the same with the FRS/BRZ.

Yeah. I've read some ridiculous stuff about people's experience with their frs/brz. Acting as though it's the greatest thing EVER to be built....EVER!

Don't get me wrong, it's a good car and I'm enjoying mine but people had a tendency to over exaggerate quite a bit.

FRS > Veyron.

its not so much the car as it is his attitude. not just him but ppl like him who act like they are gods among men. can be work, life, school, on the road.

yeah im whining but hell, this is a forum on the interwebs, where 90% of things said are whining.

Whenever someone asks me about the car (almost always at the track) I bring up it's negatives first. I probably sound bitter.

Eh, I do the same. Needs mo' powuh, C pillar blocks my view, seat rake sucks, rattles, etc etc. At the end of the day, it's the car I'm driving though.

I think it's better to get the negatives done with first. Not only does it makes the positives sound even better, but also it shows that you're not just a fanboy, but that you really pay attention to the feel while you're driving.

I completely agree, and I know a few people who act in similar ways.

meh. I get what you mean and I get what he's feeling. It's d-bag behavior and we are all capable of it at times. It's reason 672 why I killed my fb page years ago.
